>Baby Meredith is 7 Months Old!

14 Jan

>So I’m typing this from our new laptop and I haven’t installed our photo software on it yet, so I’ll have to post a picture when I get to it. The laptop isn’t anything fancy, but it’ll help us keep in touch, especially when we’re transporting ourselves to the other side of the country.

So yes, Babes is 7 months old! I know I say this every month, but I can’t believe it. I really cannot believe how quickly these last few months have gone by. She recently discovered her tongue and likes to lick her food rather than have a spoon in her mouth. She also appears to be a rather social baby; Clark was always more interested in adults than other babies, but she’s fascinated by other babies.

As far as Clark goes, I’ve really gone back and forth about whether I want to share this story or not because a) some may see it as crude and b) I’m not sure what kind of strange traffic it will attract to my blog, but I’ve decided to post it and then keep my eye on it. This morning, I was getting him ready for church when he came up to me and started patting my chest. He said, “Mommy, I love your boobies. They’re soft and clean and safe.” I just about died laughing. Hop in line, kid–you’re not the only one! Sometimes when I’m nursing Meredith in the middle of the night (while I’m lying on my side), I feel like a dog or a pig that you see in movies with all the little baby dogs or pigs suckling on them. It works wonders for my self esteem. Yes indeedy, Mommy’s boobies are quite the hit at our house.

    >Ha ha! I had to laugh at the boobies story. I remember feeling like that while nursing in bed. And I think the story is sweet–both my kids still like to be cuddled up against my chest even though I’m not nursing them anymore. Good luck with the move!Jen

    >It is important to have safe boobies. Nobody wants dangerous boobies. I glad yours are in the first category.
